Benaoján marks the end of the matanza (butchery) season with its Fiesta de la Chacina on Saturday 29 November. Visitors can sample artisan cured meats and witness the preparation of chacina in a celebration that honors traditional meat preservation techniques. The daytime festival takes place in the town center and entry is free.
